What is the
purpose of GeoBRAINS?
The purpose is
to serve companies, geoscientists and
petroleum engineers by presenting all relevant
career
information in one portal. Thus saving
a lot of time and web search for
geopetro professionals
and candidates who
are looking for opportunities to develop their
careers. Until now, job ads have
been
scattered all
over the internet, making it difficult to
achieve a complete picture of available
vacancies.
Students and
candidates at the universities and colleges
are of particular consern, due to the fact
that
they are fresh
to the industry as well as attractive
to the companies.
Who are the
readers of GeoBRAINS?
Our vision is to
make GeoBRAINS a preferred starting point for
professional geoscientists looking
for career
development, engineers in the
georesources and petroleum industry, and
candidates from
the relevant profession studies at the
universities. In this respect, we emphasize
quality rather than
quantity. Based on the huge candidate
portfolio and database developed by BRAINS,
and the head-
hunting business that makes up the fundament
of our consultancy services, we
actually call and email
each and every
relevant candidate, and
make them visit the GeoBRAINS site regularly
to keep updated
on opportunities. Candidates
contacting BRAINS for jobs are always
directed to this site, as one of
several
services performed by us for
job-seekers.
Are these
pages for Norwegian applicants only?
No. GeoBRAINS is
a dot-com site aimed at serving the industry
internationally. Keep in mind that
more than half of the
Master and PhD students at Norwegian
geoscience and petroleum technology
studies come
from abroad, representing nations like
Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, India, China, Japan,
Spain,
Russia, Sweden,
UK, USA, Canada, and many more. Companies
from all over the world are invited
to contacr BRAINS
for candidates. Every day we break new barriers
in our communication with
representatives
for the industry world-wide.
What´s the
difference between BRAINS and GeoBRAINS?
BRAINS is the
owner of GeoBRAINS. BRAINS is a Norwegian
recruitment consultancy based in
Trondheim, a
city nicknamed "The "Technology Capitol".
BRAINS is primarily a head-hunting
enterprize,
carrying
out search and selection of candidates for
positions in companies exploring and producing
mineral and petroleum resources, as well as
career counselling. All
services for candidates
are free.
The owner of BRAINS has
education and professional background
from The Norwegian University of
Science and
Technology, which is also located in
Trondheim. Our business is actually at the
very levy
of technology candidates
educated in Norway.
What about
submitting personal information?
Security
measures is also behind our recommendation
that candidates and applicants always
and only should
submit their personal data in the way
requested by each company, based on the
instructions
given in the respective company´s career
pages and advertisements. CVs and private
documents sent
to BRAINS on email or otherwise, are
immediately moved to a computer with no
connection to
the internet. That´s how careful we are.
Why are there
no payment involved for candidates?
All services for
candidates and applicants are free of
charge. BRAINS is not taking part in the cynical
utilization of
newly educated students or candidates being
in the process of looking for a new job.
We make a living
from serving the industry and the companies
in a way that makes them our satisfied
customers and partners. Investing in our
services means adding value to recruitment
campaigns
and to the
exploration divisions responsible for
the critical parts of companies´ activities.
Like the
critical task of understanding
geological formations and subsequently
finding oil.
If
anyone
claims payment on our behalf, it´s a fraud.
What about
appointments?
GeoBRAINS is
pointing candidates and applicants in the
right direction. Appointing employees
is completely a
matter taken care of by each company´s HR
services, unless otherwise contracted
with BRAINS. For recruitment
and head-hunting services, please
contact
BRAINS.
